There is nothing we like more in our house than a challenge and if it was to include one of my son’s favourite toys – even better!

So thanks to the competition over on the Who’s the Mummy? blog we were able to get out the MEGA bloks and have some fun!

The first stage is always to empty out the bag of bloks all over the floor, I am sure this is one of my son’s favourite parts of construction!

So with his 5 month old sister (Mouse) and Daddy observing, and me with the camera in one hand, the masterpiece began…..

There was a very clear aim right from the start of what we were going to be building

Legs, our two year old son is very focused when playing with his Mega Bloks, he is not happy until his mission is complete, the concentration is clear on his face!

Not sure he was that happy about the camera attention!

Can you see what it is yet?

and it’s complete……………….

Legs showing us how to use the creation

A final couple of adjustments and the creation is complete – A perfect chair for construction play!!

The Nautilus has landed!

I have been selected as a tester for the new GRACO Nautilus Carseat (Group 1-2-3), you will be able to follow my families’ journey with it here, twitter and more!

Once upon a time there was a family of four, they were selected to try out a carseat and it all began when a big box was delivered! It was like Christmas had come early – Mummy was excited at the prospect of a new item to test, Daddy was geared up to set about fitting his new ‘gadget’ and the two year old was soooo excited about his new chair that had a space for his drink!!! The baby was not so bothered by the whole thing, drifting in and out of sleep – well she is only 12 weeks old so can be excused!

So the package was opened and the delightful looking chair was revealed, Mummy’s first thought was that it was big, but actually the term should of been grown up! It is no bigger in bulkiness than the group 1 chair already used and this one covers group 1, 2 and 3 (It goes form 9 months old to 12 years!). It just looked more like a seat than a baby chair!

The two year old is very impressed and can’t wait to get it in the car to use!

Look out soon for a blog about fitting and our first journey with it!!!

My Saturday!

Well, weekends are supposed to be for resting, but I woke up with that nesting feeling! So the kitchen got a blitzing! I have never felt so satisfied before when cleaning, I would’ve continued around the house but we ‘had’ to go in town, so off we went and bought various items including a mop (I know, how exciting am I that a mop is the only thing I mention? Well I got a bucket too!).

I feel like I’ve walked around the whole of the city, so now I’m trying to relax and watch some TV, and all I can think about is what I can blitz next! The nesting stage has well and truly settled in – does this mean the baby is on it’s way?

On another note we were hoping to move the toddler into a ‘big boy’ bed today, but when dear hubby came to building the thing – the bolts and stuff were all wrong and it couldn’t be done. We have to wait now for the right bolts to arrive – so hopefully by next weekend we’ll have a bed for him and we’ll be attempting the move! Anyone got any tips?
